Fun with Cousins....

We had a super fun surprise and got to have cousins over in the middle of the week.  What was really fun is that we finished the sand box just in time.  So these kiddos spent most of the day playing outside in the sand box.  Skyler loves that box and so dose all of the kids that come over to play.  Thank you cute daddy.  Another awesome thing about yesterday was it was one of the only day that Skyler kept his underpants dry all day.  I have no idea why it has been such a challenge with him but it has been really hard to get him to go potty in the toilet.  He just keeps on fighting it and well this mommy is on a mission to for sure not have 2 in diapers.  I just don't want to do it.  But thank heavens for 2 other kiddos that want to go to the bathroom too Skyler today for the first time went into the bathroom all on his own and went to the bathroom.  Heaven!!!!   Anyways these kiddos had so much fun.  The cousins got to meet our little rabbit friend too which they really thought was fun.

It was one of those really fun days for all!!!

Tax season over= project time

Seth made it through another tax season and we are so happy that it is over!!!  So daddy decided to put on his working boots and work on a few projects.  The first project he worked on is we finally made it to the back shead and he got it all cleaned out.  So the bunny now has a home along with other things.  He also put on a door to it.  There was just wood over the door opening but now there is a door.  So super nice.  And the kids love it because they can get in and see the bunny whenever they want to.  That same day he also painted the closet in the laundry room.

The next project was the sand box.  We started digging it out last summer but ran out of time to finish.  So daddy decided to get it going.  We used the old center blocks that were all over the back yard for the base and then the nicer looking blocks for the top.

This is what it looked like right after we put the top layer on and before we filled all the sides in with durt.

This is one of the really cool tools that we got from my grandpa.  It is amazing to mix cement.  We call it the Mother of all Drills!!!

Let the filling begain!!!

We did get it all filled which was pretty amazing because we had a really busy first part of the day.  Seth went over to his uncles house and helped them on their barn all moring and most of the afternoon but was still determined to finish the sand box too!!!  All of us were pretty sleepy, sore and durty but that cute daddy did an amazing job!!!

Newest Member of the Family

Ha Ha nope not the baby....not until July!!  But this is the newest member of the oveson's house.  Her name is Abagaile.  She is a beautiful very patient bunny that my kiddos really love.  It is kind of funny because she was almost named monkey.  We asked Skyler what he wanted to name her and his suggestions were Monkey, Elephant and Ruffy.  Now how did we come about this adorable bunny??  Well Uncle West (wes) came into Seth's work to pick up his tax return and he handed seth a box and said give this to your kids.  Seth saw a little tuft of fur sticking out of the box and asked him "is this alive"  Uncle Wess just smiled and walked out.  Seth looked in the box and there was this little rabbit!!!

Marisa is so excited to have a bunny that she remembers.  Is how she said it.  She knows that we use to have rabbits but she was happy that we had a new one.

Easter Time

Ok you have to Guess what this Happy Easter is Made of.  Marisa made it before Easter on my bed out of something.  I was rather impressed!!  That girly loves to make things!!!

Yep Easter I know was a bit ago but we really had so much fun all day long!!!

First thing in the morning we went to smiths for their Easter egg/ candy hunt.  My kiddos love this because they get tons of candy and they get eggs that have coupons for different things like a box of fruit snacks, pudding and other things.  They also have breakfast in the morning for anyone who comes.  Donuts and chocolate milk or juice.  Which is not really breakfast but the kiddos sure love it!!

Daddy took the camera over to where Skyler was.  He seemed like he understood a bit better what was going on.  He picked up some eggs and then candy but when he was done he said "Ok I am done daddy"  even though there was still candy left.  It was so cute he got what he wanted and he was happy :D

Both kiddos did so good getting candy and eggs and they had so much fun doing it too.  We also ran into some great friends in smiths too.  No kiddo left smiths without lots of candy :D

We then headed out to the mountain to be with family.  We were so excited to have Heath and Jeri and the gang come and visit.  Aunt Dana had all kinds of things for us to do too!!  What is Easter with out a little Egg Coloring.

super cute buddies

don't drink it Skyler.  Skyler by the end had beautiful colored fingers.

Sky was one happy guy when he had his turn to take a ride.

It was pretty cute because Skyler would color an egg pretty fast then all of a sudden he would disappear around the table and then be back with another egg.  He really like coloring eggs.  Most of his ended up green!!!

Marisa has some serious concentration going on :D

Marisa had her first experience of riding a 4 wheeler all by herself.  It was really funny to watch because at first she was really timid and careful.  After about the 6th pass she was getting really confident.  So much so that she was turning and going super fast.  We did have our first 4 wheeler learning experience though....she actually rolled the 4 wheeler and she did not get hurt but after that she was a little more careful.  I am so glad that it was a little learning experience that did not include any broken bones

Skyler loved those bubbles.  He especially loved going over to Uncle "West" (wes) as Skyler calls him and trying so hard to blow bubbles at him...lol   Many times he would get so excited that he would fail at actually producing a bubble.

Easter Morning we actually got to spend at home.  It was so nice to be home for Easter.

They found their baskets that had ropes in them.  They were pretty excited about the ropes.  Then it was off to find eggs.

It was such a fun Easter!!!

Missionary Changes

Time has just flown by we have had so much fun we have not been able to keep up with everything....including the blog.  During this time of craziness we had a few changes at our house.  Elder Noriega left us and we also got Elder Bennion (on the left).  Elder Noriega has been greatly missed by our little man.  He really loved that Elder.  He even still says his name of and on saying that Elder Noriega would like that...so super cute.  Our new elders have been so great.  I don't have a photo of him yet but our newest elder is Elder Ayala.   Kind of fun to get to know different missionaries and have them be such a great example for my little ones!!
