Branch Halloween Party

On Fri was the branch Halloween party...it was so much fun because the youth in the branch planned and did the activities for the party.  So this month before they learned how to make balloons for one activity and another they made cookies for the activity.  It was so fun because I got to share my mad balloon making skills...haha...with the youth in the branch.  The boys especially loved it and they are really actually pretty good at it. And now for our Halloween costumes........

This year mommy was feeling a bit lazy so I bought the kiddos costumes but I did make Seth and I's hats.  I think this is one of my favorites and the kiddos are so super cute.  I may be a little bias though.
I love Sky's little leg pop that is totally all him!!!  Marisa was pretty excited that I let her wear makeup quite the cute little Juliet.

This is my happy little flower.  I have to say she has become quite the little cutie and she makes some pretty amazing sounds.  She loves to hear her voice.  We call her our hot and cold baby because she is happy one second and mad the next there is not much in between.  I love this little smile!!!!

There were some really fun costumes at the party.....

Hey look they came dressed up as missionaries...ha ha...
we are pretty sad elder lopez left us this last week :C  He has been a really amazing missionary.

Princess and the cute little frog!!!

They had a cake walk and it was so cute to watch the kiddos going round and round jumping from place to place

Our youth were so great that night if was so fun to see them having such a great time serving

This is my life saver....she is amazing we work together in the young women's and she is so amazing. love her to death!!!

This is our branch pres and his wife....oh how we love these two.  It totally made my day that he wore his snoopy costume.  It was so cute too because he was hopping around and fake licking everyone.  It really was such a fun night.  My kids keep asking me if we can do it again!

Selling puppies....

Life has been pretty busy this last little bit between selling puppies, canning and church it has been crazy.  Thursday night last week I talked to 4 people on the phone, took photos edited etc, canned sweet and sour sauce, did the usual feed mersadie, lunch, dinner, clean house, took a 5 min shower literally because I really needed too, mutual, finished seth and my costumes....it was one crazy day!!!  But these are the last photos that I took of our last puppy and he was sold the same day that I took these.  It is amazing to me how we have been blessed from selling these little guys.  We had a litter before we moved to denver and that was the way that we were able to move, we sold another litter before we moved back here to price making it possible to move, we sold another one before we bought our house that we are in right now, and the one that we just sold has made it possible to get rid of a bit of our debt that we had.  Besides being a blessing to us financially it has been so good for my kids.  They have learned about work and the satisfaction of getting paied for working hard.  They helped clean them, their kennels, feed them and play with them.  They even helped when we were taking photos....sky helped me with these ones.  So it was really fun to pay them.  Although we gave them their money and skyler had these really big eyes...here I was thinking that he thought that it was alot of money then all of a sudden he said "Islands" he laied them out on the ground and thought they made the best islands.  Who knew that 20 dollar bills could be islands...lol.  But to him they were another toy :D  I love how his little brain works.  But it has been so nice to have something that me and the kids can do from home.  I know that when we first drove all the way to texas to pick up our first schnauzer and then flew in the other it was a little crazy but it has been one of the best blessings ever for our family!!  Besides the fact that we love our Schnauzers!!!

This is my little helper and "his puppy"  He has had a bit of a hard time this time saying good-bye to these little buddies.  He did do a little better when I told him that mabie daddy will get him a puppy and he said "a chocolat one?"  and I said ya "a big one?"  I said "no how about a little tiny one"  he said "only my puppy"  I said "yep I think so"  :D  He was pretty happy with that idea.

Family Fun...

It is starting to get colder and well that means fire time!!!  It was so fun but we spent some really fun family time roasting marshmallows and hanging out.  I love the colder season for just this reason!!!

Mersadie and Skyler are always playing.  One of their favorite games is "super baby" where she flies and then he ties her up and then saves her.  Mersadie sure thinks that brother of hers is the best!!!

This photo is just for grandma cox.  She made these slippers for marisa's doll but we decided that they should be mersadies while they fit her :D

This was an interesting adventure.  I went outside to check on the water and I had put mersadie on the floor.  I came back in and she was missing and so was Skyler...of course I panicked calling for them.  Skyler says boo!!! and there he is with mersadie hiding and he said we are hiding in our tent mom.  He had drug her blanket over to the corner and was hiding in a tent.

Oh how he loves to have adventure with the little girl even though she is still tiny!!

How does your garden grow?

This year we planted a garden as always but we planted it earlier and I think we have learned a few tricks also we planted strawberries.  This is the first time ever that we have grown pretty good strawberries.  By the way not all strawberries are the same.  the ones that you grow yourself are soooooo much better then the ones in the store.  Super juicy.  Yum Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.  One of my YW goals was to plant a garden and watch it grow and compair it to faith.  It has been so fun to watch it grow and to also watch my testimony grow throughout the years.  I was talking with one of our youth that has really gone astray the other night and it really makes me grateful and want to work harder to make my testimony grow even more.  As I shared my testimony with him and love of the book of Mormon and promised him if he would read it and pray he would know if the church was true and really what heavenly father wants with his life.  I thought about my own life and how many things have challenged my testimony but it has gotten stronger as I have worked on it and had faith.  Our garden did so well this year and it was such a blessing but I know that if we did not water it every day like our testimony or take care of the "bugs" our plants would die.

This is our third really big harvest not counting the regular ones.  We made tons of salsa, spaghetti sauce, frozen cut vegetables and sweet and sour sauce!!  Our food storage is really happy and full now.  We were super blessed this year!!!

One of my favorite hobbies!!!!

Ok so I have decided that I have a little of my dad in me.  My brother just bought him the best shirt it said "If life gives you lemons....well hey free lemons"  I love it!!!!  Anyways I love love love finding a good deal especially when it comes to things that we really need.  This is a deal that I found on Kohl's I bought 4 shirts/onsies, 2 skirts, and a pair of shorts for Mersadie and 2 jammas, and an outfit that had a matching outfit for her doll and a shirt for Skyler all brought to you for 27 dollars and that includes shipping it right to my door!!!  Man I love a great deal!!

Were so glad when daddy comes home....

Daddy with his work has had to travel a lot which we always hate...what was really fun for him though this time is that he got to go to the temple.  I really think we were blessed because he decided to go too.  This time I really tried as hard as I could to be happy and focus on the good things.   Most of the time when seth is gone the kids have multiple breakdowns.  This time though we only had a few and we had good time even though daddy was gone all week.  He has to travel a for work but we are always so so happy when he comes home!!!!

He might get tons of hugs and kisses when he gets home.

It really makes me want to shout that song...I know not very reverent but...."I'm so glad when daddy comes home, glad as I can be!!!"

Soccer Time....

Ok I was horrible about taking photos this year you cant even see Risa in this photo so next year I will take better photos.  But it was really fun to watch Risa play soccer and have her daddy coach.  She is quite the aggressive little girl who is not afraid to get in there and take away the ball.  She loves it too. And man the speed on that girl.  She for sure got her speed from her dad because she can really run.  It was so fun to watch her grow as she played every week!!!
