Loving acts of Kindness!!!

I am sure you are wondering why I took a photo of Two Suckers...well Skyler on Saturday night got really sick.  He had a Fever right in the 102.6 range with Tylenol...so we decided that the croup had developed into an infection and so we decided to take him into the Hospital.  They did decide that he had an infection and we had them give him a shot.  The nurse was so amazing while they were waiting she pulled out her I-pad and let Skyler watch a movie!!  But they gave him a shot and after that the nurse brought him back a sucker....what did my son say when she went to give it to him after waiting 2+ hours and getting his shot...he said "For Risa Too?"  he wanted one for his sister!!  He does this all of the time he wants to get one for his sister too.

 Sky for obvious reasons did not get to go to church the next day and while at church Risa wrote him this note..I love how they love each other and want to watch out for one another!!!  They make quite the little team!!

Halloween!!!

Risa and Daddy were doing pretty good on Halloween so we decided because it was not a cold night that they could go out and do a little Trick-or-Treating.  Risa was so excited!!!

She came back with a Haul!!!

Skyler and mommy hung out at home and watched Scooby-Doo....he mostly slept.

What do you eat on Halloween??  When you want Skyler to eat something because he has not eaten all day you choose Mac and Cheese to try and tempt him....did it work...NOPE!!!  But latter on we went and got him a Happy Meal with Chocolate milk.  Winner!!!  Thank you McDonald's for making food that my kiddos will eat even when they don't want to!!  :D

What a week!!!

We will start at the beginning of our week...Marisa over the weekend started complaining about her throat hurting.  Monday morning she woke up in a bit of a panic because she could not breath.  So we took her into the doctor....Croup!! 

Skyler had the same thing but it was not developed yet....but little did we know until I was in the line to pick up their prescriptions at Walmart (45min wait) Skyler had the Flu...yep grand explosion out of Skyler's mouth...thank heaves for mommy reflexes and the little carts that they have here and there that has paper towels...and for little old ladies that come to the rescue!!!

So Sky had the Egg Gas Flu and Croup!!

 And for sure he passed it along....the poor little man and mommy was in need of the bathroom too!!!  It is always better when you are sick together right?? 

I know kind of a funny photo but the humidifier has been our friend....running constantly.  This one my mom actually let us barrow and she has had it for 5 years.  Which in humidifier years at least at our house that is GOOD!!!  But our friend finally died.

Skyler did not let me get far.  If I would try to work on anything in another room he really would not let me and call me back.  So mommy decided it was time to develop some talents that I really don't have.  YouTube is amazing you can learn all sorts of things.  But these are the first flowers that I have ever crochet...and the first scarf. 

The RS is doing scarfs and hats for the kids in the branch and this is my first set!!  :D  They turned out I think pretty good for my first time.  I messed up on a few things but it went pretty good!!!

For a fun indoor activity we decided to do Carmel apples.  It was the first time i have ever tried to make Carmel so it turned out a little harder then I would have liked but it was really fun to do all together...and Risa did not feel quite as bad that she missed her school parties.

We decided that we would go over to grandma's Halloween party...because well they had been pretty sick too!!  It was fun.  I did not finish their other costumes because we were not going to get to use them much so we decided to save them for next year!!  So everyone got to decide what they wanted to wear with the stuff that we had around the house.  Sky went as Wolverine, Risa as Tiana, Seth as Harry Potter(got to use the graduation robe again...lol) and I went as a Nurse (given the circumstances I thought that was pretty funny)  Grandma's Party was super fun!!! 

Pumpkin time!!!

We were all pretty sick and not doing so well so most of the day we were all laying down.  But it is Halloween time and so we took advantage of our time indoors to carve some pumpkins....

This is the pumpkin Risa got at school.  We got one for Skyler that was about the same size.  They were so cute!!

Have any of you ever seen the Cat Creature Scooby-Doo Episode...well Skyler wanted his too look like the cat creature off of Scooby Doo.  Scooby Doo is Skyler's Favorite Cartoon!!!  Lets just say I am sure that I have them all memorized after the week of all of us being sick and watching cartoons!!  :D

We had to put a jewel in the Cat Creatures nose...lol  Sky wanted to show his nose too

Risa wanted to make a which and she designed it herself.  She added the jewels for the warts....so cute!!

 

Lets just say we had a pretty fun pumpkin night...it brought happy faces to sick little people...which made mommy really happy!!

The Day Mommy got Mad!!

Last Sunday morning mommy had to take a shower and well all moms know how interesting it is sometimes just to get that shower in.  The kids were playing so cute with legos in the front room and they were all ready for church 2 hours before it was even time to go!!  I was feeeling pretty good.  So I thought to myself I am sure that I can get in a quick shower while they are playing so cute together.  So I asked Marisa to watch her brother for a little bit while I took a shower.  So I am taking my shower and I hear someone come in and flush the toilet and well I thought it was marisa.....
Next I heard someone in the kitchen doing things.  Then came the water in the kitchen...that is when mommy jumped out of the shower and dressed at the speed of super hero.  I came out to see.....

My son covered in Hot Cocoa Mix all over his church clothing and all over his hair.  Also our toilet well was overflowing.  And well we only had about 1hour and 20 min to fix the problem.

I didn't get a photo of skyler because well I was pretty mad!!!  And so no photo but this is the can of cocoa.  So I cleaned up skyler and talked to both kiddos skyler for making the mess and marisa for not watching him and told them to go in the front room.  I cam in to see this!! 

Both of them sitting on their chairs that they usually have to sit on when they are in trouble.  They knew that mommy was mad and they both felt really bad.  (I love that they care and want to be good)

This is the not that marisa wrote for me while she was sitting on the chair.  :D  I love my cute little kiddos!!!
