More Adventures

It was time to put Mersadie in the room and well we had to do a bit of organizing.  So this is how it all ended up.  By the way love the organization bins.  The kids love to pull out their bin to play.  Especially Skyler.

I picked up matching outfits for the girls.  and if I do say so myself they are super cute!!!

Skyler wanted a photo too so we had to take one of our little buddy

Mersadie had her first solids and daddy got to feed her.  She did really good actually.  It is so cute when she likes something she moves her wrist in circles really fast over and over again.  That is what she does to show that she is excited.

YUM!!!
We took the kids on their first ice skating experience.  Marisa was so excited and ready to go.  She was a little discourages about how hard it was.  She thought it was going to be so much easier then it was.  She finally got the hang of things at the end and would go off on her own.  I remember so many times coming out to this pond to skate and now my kiddos are enjoying some of my favorite memories.  Skyler did not dare to go off on his own.  He was a little sick though so that might have had something to do with it too.

I was a bit worried about going ice skating because my balance was really off from having Mersadie but it all came back to me after a little bit of practice it was awesome!!!

All in all we had a really great family skating experience.  We had a few falls but it was a fun time!!!

Happy New Year

We went over to grandma's house for new year's eve and spent it with them.  Grandpa had his hernia operated on so they were not going to travel.  So we took the party to their house.  We even let the kids stay up until midnight... I know crazy parents.

We had lots of fun at grandma's house counting down and there were lots of kisses given

Extended Family Together Time....

So it was kind of fun we were able to get together as a family even though this was an opposite side of the family Christmas.

My mom and dad's idea for presents this year was so cute they asked all of the kids if they wanted to go on an adventure.  They gave them lunch boxes and then they got to search for their presents.   They gave us a Plastic Treasurer box full of all kinds of pirate things there were swards, a boat from Jake and the never land pirates there was fairy wings for the girls among other fun things.  We also got a wooden treasure chest that had gold coins chocolate and plastic and real!!!  Yep they got 100 gold coins from the bank and put it in there along with a gift card to Texas roadhouse.  It was such a cute idea and the kids loved playing pirate.
Before we even got to open it he was feeling to try and figure it out and yep I got it on camera...lol
Grandma Parkinson gave all of the kids animal hats.  It was so cute to see them all in their little animal hats.

Skyler made one awesome Bear!!!  Raaarrrr!!!  Can you hear it??
The two little ones had some play time!
Then it was time for sledding!!!!  I had to catch these ice-cycles on camera though because they were really impressive!!!  Who needs to by the fake ones with the lights in them when you have the real ones with lights in them

 We went sledding....

 Grandpa even joined the party...
Skyler decided that his hands were cold so he warmed them up on daddies belly.  Refreshing to say the least...lol

Skyer found some frozen donuts and I think that he ate two or three of them...lol

 Me and my buddies!!!
Skyler sat on marisa and made her do a scorpion in the tube and they were a little stuck...I did get them to smile a little later...
 More Ice-cycles

See I did get them to smile eventually...
We had a white elephant gift exchange and we brought squash....that was happy to see them....what was funny is it was a big hit with the kids.  They became super squash and went on adventures
We also played reverse charades and if you have never played this you really should just check out some of our photos from this amazing game!!!

Yep totem pole... one of my faves

I think this was the sumo
 Double dutch

 Dogie Pile
