Happy Birthday Cute Honey!!!

It was my cute honeys b-day and well per usual we made him a cake....pastel de tres leches and it was super yummy....translation three milk cake. We also have the tradition that we always have a gift on the cake. Can you tell what it is??

He might have a few candles on that cake!!! Ok I cant say much because mine would burn down the house :D Yes I am older then my hubby!!

I am so glad that my cute husband was born and I was lucky enough to find him...Happy Birthday Cute Honey!!

Super fun service project!!

We had so much fun going to a service project. They started out having us all get together and we were combined with the 7th ward. But after that we dispersed and they went and cleaned streets and we went to one of the members in our branches house to build a ramp. She has had some really bad things happen in the last little while and well she cant really walk well and is in a wheel chair so it is really hard for them to get her up the stairs. This family has the most amazing faith and it was so fun to go over there and help. Before we went to their house I got to take some Paparazzi Photos as we drove away to go to the other site.

This is our awesome stake President and his cute wife they are so amazing and I am so glad that I have gotten to know them.

It was so fun to watch our kiddos work. We were their from really early in the morning till about 5 and they were so so good!!! They shoveled dirt, picked weeds, nailed, screwed in screws, held boards, and many other little things but they worked so hard and got so dirty and it made my heart so happy to see them loveing to work and all of us working together. We make a pretty good little team!!

because now every time that we drive by marisa says mom WE helped build that ramp.

These two men are so amazing I know that I already said something about our stake president in orange the other man is our branch president. I am so glad that I have been able to know this man. Not only is he really tallented with wood..among that he also makes guitars he also is very tallented at playing them and flutes as well. But besides that he is very humble and has served so many people including myself. One time in particular that may not seem very big to someone else but that day I was having a really bad day and so was skyler at church. One of those times you wonder if you are really getting anything from the lesson...but he took skyler even though he was throwing a fit and he played with him and held him. I was so thankful for that and many other acts of service and it is so amazing how many people touch your life for good. I am thankful for these two leaders that have touch our families life. I thought it was fun to see them side by side!!

Ok I have to say I have never wanted a tool so bad in my life...this tool is amazing. It is super light and well great to use. Impact drivers are soooooo cool. I love doing projects like this give me some wood and screws and a really cool tool and I am in heaven...I know kind of funny hu!!

Ok I did not sadly catch him in action but my husband is so super amazing he dug every one of the holes with a pick and I have to say he was super cute while he was doing it!! But he is such a great daddy and good example to his kiddos and I love his guts :D That is one really cute work crew!!!

I am so greatful for inspired leaders and for the opportunity we had to do some service as a family!! It was such a great day!!!

Cake time!!

This past little bit I have made a few cakes and this one has my first ever fondant bow on it!! I was for a

bridal shower and they asked me to do the cake. It turned out pretty good. Still learning but not to bad.

The finished product!! Yea buddy!!

This one will be in another post but it is another cake that I did just a bit ago!! We always have the tradition that you get a present on top of your cake....can you guess who's birthday it is for...Few hints...legos....harry potter. I personally liked that I found candles that were striped... :D

My little helper...mommy in the making!!

I always loved the name marisa (which is my middle name too) infact many times I thought about going by that name but it just did not quite fit but that name fits our little girly so well. She has gotten so big before my eyes.

She is so good with her little brother and they are two little buddies. I worried about their being such a gap between the two but they are so good to eachother and she is his buddy.

This is my beautiful girly with her new cousin. She is so sweet with him and always so tender and loving. She has become quite the little helper. She now does all of her chores and sometimes she does things without mommy even reminding her. She love little babies and if she could would hold them all the time. Cute little mommy in the making!!!

I am so glad that this beautiful girly came into our lives with her spunk, strong voice, and lots of love and laughter!!! Oh how we love our little MARISA!!

My little Monkey

This is my little monkey...he even is in a tree in this photo. He has gotten so big. We are just starting potty training and he is so excited about it all. "Mommy potty" "yeah" "risa go potty?" He is a ball of energy and never give him sugar. He will literally be running circles around you!! Lately he has been my snuggle man he will give me all the hugs and kisses that I want....most of the time...not including the times when he wants to tease. Which are many!!! He loves his little cars and squinkies and everything seems to be falling off a cliff when he is playing. Maybe he has seen to many loony toons...lol.

He loves his aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents and asks for all of them frequently!!

And well he is also super stubborn....this is a photo of a moment in which we well did not want to eat our food. It had been three meals past in which he did not want to eat it and well we saved it for him to eat....lets just say we fought it hard!!!

More then anything this little monkey is mine and so much fun....mess and all!!!

Visit with Great Grandparents

While we were in cedar city this last weekend we got to go for a min and visit with great grandma and grandpa parkinson in st george. It was so fun to see my kiddos enjoying my grandparents and it took me back. My grandpa and I had a special thing for rocks and while we were down there he took marisa around and gave her pieces of some of his really pretty rocks. It is so fun to have different traditions past down to your kids and their kids...etc. So while we were their we decided that a photo was in order!!! It is kind of sad my grandpa has not been doing well and we almost lost him just a little while back. He has also been in and out of things here and there so we were so super happy that he was completely with it and the kiddos had so much fun with my grandparents!!

It is kind of amazing the resemblance when you see them together you can tell they are related!! I do have to point out if you can see it the amazing bump on my sons forehead. He fell really hard right before the photo.

Little buddies!!

I am so glad that my kids have had the oppertunity to know the grandparents that I love so much!! I remember many a summers working at their house, collecting and sorting metal cans, roofing houses and sheds, weeding the garden, working at the IPP plant in delta, geting a cherry limeade, playing in the TP, working at the DI (because they were missionaries at the DI) and many many other memories. So thankful for these little memories with my grandparents!!
