Winds of Change....Consider the Lilies....

We have had a few adventures and decisions to make.  We have been praying for quite some time for a different job for Seth.  We really wanted him to not have to travel as much and have some more quality family time.  When the opening of auditor for USU Eastern came up we decided that we might as well apply.  We were not sure if he was going to get it but we were hopeful.  He made it past the first interviews and was given a second interview.  Then the third interview he had to take a mini exam where he had to do audits.  What was so amazing is that they asked them how much he would like to make and it was a bit less then they were going to use for the position but they came back with a better offer then we could have hoped for. So we decided to take the change.  It was so weird to do so because when we came to price I thought that we would stay at Smuin Rich and Marsing forever and that Seth would become a partner eventually and that is just where we would be.  But it is funny how the Lord leads you different directions.  We had been praying for something that paied a little better, something that gave us more family time, and something that allowed us to be able to help more people.  This job fit all of our desires.  When they gave him the offer, I can not tell you how grateful my heart felt.  Seth would come home frustrated so many days because of one of the ladies in his office and the way he was being treated.  I felt so much in awe by how kind heavenly father has been to our little family even though we don't deserve it. It was really funny to because as we were going through this whole process these scriptures and song kept coming to mind.  D&C 84:82 and Mathew 6:28 we have been worried about many different things and worried about jobs and what we would have to do or where we would have to go and those scriptures and the song Consider the Lilies of the Field

I heard this song so many times.  Once at church and then also at conference and it is so amazing because I never really knew the meaning of this song or even payed much attention to it until now.  But it is so amazing how much heavenly father knows us and if we seek to do his will first above everything else he will bless us and is so mindful of us!!!

So we made the jump and it has been so nice to have Seth have more family time and be so close that he can walk home and see us at lunch and our time is so much more calm and really fun!!!

So for Seth's new work he had to go to Logan to get the training and we decided to go with him and stay with Megan and Timmy.  So while we were there we went to a live nativity.  It was such a cool experience for our kids to see what it could have been like for Mary and baby Jesus.  They also got to pet a camel which you cant get much cooler then that.

Sky was a little scared to touch the camel but he thought it was so cool.  Which you can get much cooler then a camel that has frozen spit on his fur!!!
It told the story of Jesus and the kids did not want to leave the room.  I am so thankful that my kids can fell the sweet spirit that is there.

On our way back from Logan we visited one of our other favorite Christmas destinations.  Temple Square...It is always so fun to see the lights and for the kids to feel the spirit that is on temple square.

It was raining so we had to stop at city creek mall and pick up an umbrella for Mersadie so she did not get rained on.
While we were at City Creek we got to see Jack Frosts mom....AKA Aunt Ginger do some story telling.  It was so fun to see her and get to listen to some amazing story telling.
It was a really great week and one of the best parts is that we got to spend time with daddy!!!
