Fun in the Sandbox and How does your garden grow....

Since we built the sand box the kids have had tons of fun playing in the sandbox together.  Many times it ends with both of them covered in mud from head to toe....but happy as can be. 

This year is our best garden.  Kind of fun when the plants are bigger then your kids  :D  What is funny is that  I have been the worst gardener this year as far a weeding and trying to take care of it.  Goes to show that sometimes just leaving things alone works the best.  Although we did do a few tricks this year that we learned.  With our squash we mad a mound with a ditch around.  We also started our plants with tomato cages over the plants with white plastic bags over them.  All of which seemed to work this year :D



We also got a bunch of apricots and made our first ever batch of apricot jam.  We had some great helpers!!!

Summer time and fruit is so much fun!!!
