We had quite an eventful Easter weekend...our beautiful Marisa was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In order to be baptized she had to memorize all of the articles of faith and I was so impressed with her diligence to do that. She and her daddy would practice them every morning on their way to school. She was so excited for her special day. She would tell so many about how she was going to be baptized and how she was turning 8.
This is a cute tender photo that I think Skyler actually took where grandma cox was helping marisa practice her article of faith and what she was going to say on sunday. I love these little special moments and it was fun to find this one on my camera.
For Marisa's baptism we were super lucky to combine with the Spanish missionaries and one of their investigators. It was translated into Spanish and the room was completely full. Some of the people at her baptism Aimee & Andy Family including Grandma Lou, Darla and Scott, Dana and Wes, Darce and Peggie, Grandma Claudia, Papa and Grandma Cox, Grandma and Grandpa Garvin, Megan and Timmy Family, Tom and Casidy Family, Dan and Steph Family, Tristen, Errol, and Shawn, The Botellos, The Smith Family, The Vella Family, Aidee Family, President Perez and Lori, Elder Robinson and Elder Eggen, Sister Black from the Primary Presidency, Grandma Parkinson, Larry and Laurel, Trina Family, Kierston and Husband, Torres Family, and I may have missed a few but I will say that marisa felt so so sooooo loved. Thank you so much for everyone who came to make marisa's day such a special one.
So cute!!! That is all I have to say
Little Buddies...skyler sure does love that caid buddy and he added tristen to his list of buddies
It was such a great day she was beaming from ear to ear. When she came out of the font the first words that she said to me were "I feel good!!!" Before she was baptized we got to have a little moment where I told her how proud of her I was and told her to remember how she feels today. You cant get much better then feeling good!!!
Later on in the night time we had a family Easter party. We ate, we had a glow in the dark Easter party, and tons of fun. Before we had the glow in the dark hunt Grandma Cox took the little kids in one room and told them about the Light of the World. It was a great party....but note to all who want to do that make sure you dont put the candy in with the bracelets some times they brake...lol
| This is some of the glow in the dark action. You cant see the photos so well but it was a lot of fun!!!! |
The whole Crew!!!
The next morning the kids got to go and look for their baskets and a few little eggs....including the golden special egg that had nothing inside and we got to talk to the kids about the Resurrection. It was funny though because marisa was so excited that she got the special egg until she opened it and their was nothing inside. And she looked as seth going WHAT??? There is nothing??? It was a really cool experience.
| Man that Easter Bunny got some super cute Buckets this year!!! Super cute Kiddos!!! |
The weekend was so amazing and it was sooo so fun to see family and share in the special time of Easter and Baptism and the real reason for the Season Christs Resurrection.
